Andrew Hollander

Andrew Hollander is a songwriter, record producer, and film composer. Hollander contributed 2 songs, "Thankful" and "Always Be Your Girl" to Celine Dion's chart topping album ''Loved Me Back to Life'' which reached #1 in 31 countries. He co-wrote and co-produced 2 songs for Jacquie Lee's debut EP on Atlantic Records including the single "Broken Ones". Most recently, he co-wrote the New Politics (Warner Bros.) single "West End Kids". Hollander has collaborated with Carly Rae Jepsen, Jojo, Brian Elmquist (The Lone Bellow), Natalie Hemby, David Johansen, Babyface, White Rabbits, the Chevin, Robopop, C. Gibbs, and G.E.M., for whom Hollander co-penned the number 1 single in China, "Someday I'll Fly." He also had the great honor of playing piano on three albums by jazz legend Yusef Lateef.
In addition to his songwriting career, Hollander is also an accomplished film composer. Named one of ''Hollywood Reporter''s "Composers on the Verge of the A List," Hollander has composed scores and written songs for feature films, including the Mike Birbiglia film ''Sleepwalk with Me''. He also scored the Fox Searchlight film ''Waitress'', for which he also co-wrote with Adrienne Shelly "Baby Don't You Cry (The Pie Song)." After hearing his music in "Waitress," director Amy Schatz tapped Hollander to score the HBO series, ''A Child's Garden of Poetry'', as well as ''Don't Divorce Me'', an HBO original documentary produced by Rosie O'Donnell and Sheila Nevins. The latter featured music by Hollander and the Roots. Hollander has been featured in ''Variety''s Music For Screens issue alongside Hans Zimmer and Michael Giacchino, sat on the Sundance BMI Composers Panel with George S. Clinton, Edward Shearmur, and Don Davis, and appeared as a panelist at the ''Hollywood Reporter''/''Billboard'' Film & TV Music Conference.
